How we LEAD:
The Coordinator, North American Royalty is a key support role as part of the Incoming Royalty team within UMPG’s North American territory. Reporting to the Senior Director, North American Royalty, the Coordinator role encompasses royalty statement processing and income source ownership with the unique ability to contribute to the evolution of processes and systems. The position is rich in opportunity for involvement with the company’s biggest deals, signings, and international projects.
How You’ll CREATE:
Own the responsibility of processing key income statements and distributions as part of the North American Royalty team.
Maintain a strong knowledge base and ownership of assigned income sources including usage understanding, payment schedule, statement layout details, unique source processing steps, and a strong relationship with income source contacts.
Be consistent and cognizant in defining and maintaining a high standard for Global administration as a representative for the largest territory in UMPG’s Global system.
Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed.
Partner with the NA Analytics team to strengthen the territory’s ownership and understanding of all territory data in processing and reporting, to clients both external and internal.
Maintain strong relationships with counterparts in the Global Royalty, Analytics, I.T., and Finance teams among others.
Bring Your VIBE:
1 year of music rights experience in a royalty administration, analysis or related role strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and text editors required.
Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as DOMO, Tableau, and Power BI a plus.
Ability to work in a bespoke systems landscape.
Strong organization skills, critical thinking, analysis, and being detail oriented are required for success.
Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately while managing competing priorities is crucial.
4 year degree in Business, Accounting, or Music Business strongly preferred.
The ability to partner and work well as part of a team is required.
Overtime as required.
