This role is responsible for the coordination, quality control and execution that keep projects moving smoothly and on schedule. From managing content intake and proofreading materials to maintaining project trackers and supporting digital campaigns, you'll help ensure consistent, accurate and professional communications across all channels.

Content intake, proofreading and quality control

Support the team in delivering accurate, high-quality marketing and communications content across the firm by:

  • Monitoring the team's primary intake channels and central email inbox, reviewing and acknowledging incoming requests from lawyers and internal stakeholders

  • Routing requests to the appropriate team members and maintaining accurate project tracking records

  • Proofreading content submissions, articles, emails and digital communications for Canadian Press (CP) Style, formatting, link accuracy and clarity before publication

  • Maintaining templates, checklists and process guides to support consistency and efficiency across the team

  • Helping ensure all content meets BLG quality, brand and editorial standards

Content calendar and project coordination

Help keep the team's projects, campaigns and publishing commitments on track by:

  • Maintaining the firm's content calendar across channels and practice areas

  • Updating project management tools with assignments, deadlines and publishing schedules

  • Tracking action items and deliverables from team meetings

  • Sending reminders on upcoming deadlines and deliverables

  • Proactively identifying scheduling conflicts, competing priorities and capacity concerns

Team resources and knowledge management

Help maintain the resources, templates and information that support the Marketing and Communications team's operations and services across the firm by:

  • Maintaining and updating Marketing and Communications resources available to firm members, ensuring information remains current, accurate and accessible

  • Managing the team's internal templates, playbooks, process documents and operational resources

  • Coordinating intranet updates and content contributions from Marketing and Communications team members

  • Helping ensure resources, documentation and information are organized, easy to navigate and aligned with team processes

Digital, social and campaign execution support

Provide support on digital channels, campaigns and content production under the guidance of Specialists and Senior Specialists by:

  • Drafting content for social media, website pages, email campaigns and internal communications

  • Monitoring traditional media and social media channels and escalating engagement opportunities, inquiries or reputational concerns as appropriate

  • Supporting campaign reporting by gathering and organizing performance data from digital, social and email platforms

Administrative and team support

Provide operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Marketing and Communications team by:

  • Processing vendor invoices and supporting budget tracking activities

  • Assisting with meeting coordination, documentation and follow-up actions

  • Supporting special projects and departmental initiatives as required

  • Contributing to process improvement opportunities that enhance team effectiveness

Key Competencies:

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration or a related field

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, content coordination, digital marketing or a related role

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills

  • Familiarity with Canadian Press (CP) Style

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to draft content across multiple formats and channels

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing platforms and social media management tools

  • Experience gathering and compiling basic digital performance metrics

  • Collaborative, service-oriented approach and confidence working with professionals and senior stakeholders

  • French language proficiency is a strong asset

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on level of experience, region/location, and other factors.
