As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll have responsibility in ensuring incoming engines and materials are routed properly and our finished products are sent back to our customers in a timely manner.
What you’ll do:
- Perform receiving and record data into ERP system
- Examine and inspect incoming items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to management.
- Mark stock items using identification labels with batch numbers
- Liaise with forwarders on outbound and inbound shipments
- Coordinate with purchasing for receiving and invoice verification and relevant shipping documents
- Verification of shipping invoices and Release of shipments to forwarders
- Submitting of shipping details/status to customers and related parties
- Updating/maintaining of Company's shipping database
- Informing relevant functions/colleagues about potential deviations to agreed transport shipping agreements
- Managing and booking of freight
- Liaise with quality and buyer on parts discrepancy
- Coordinate consumables receipt and deliveries to end users.
- Assist store and warehousing functions : support receiving, issuing, scrap and stock taking when required.
- Take part in cycle counts and stock take. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies
- Keep track of inventory of shipping supplies
- Participates as a team member in the relevant Safety sub-committee team and periodic emergency response evacuation drills

Position Requirements:
- Valid forklift license - 3 tonnes (preferable)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for approximately 25% of the average work day.
- Good working knowledge about freight forwarding and Incoterms
Preferred Characteristics:
- Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS OneWorld, DHL, and similar systems
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 3 years’ experience working in storekeeping and shipping duties
