The Role + Purpose: 

The Denim R&D Coordinator supports the Denim R&D team in managing PLM data accuracy, seasonal fabric development, and supplier coordination for denim raw materials. This role partners closely with Denim R&D, cross-functional partners, and mills/suppliers to help ensure fabric specifications, sample yardage, and quality approvals are tracked with consistency and accuracy from concept through bulk.

Responsibilities:

PLM Data Integrity

  • Train and become an expert in FlexPLM and Miro.
  • Own the ongoing maintenance of both Miro and PLM to ensure correct information is being shared cross functionally.
  • Input all fabric specifications in PLM.

Seasonal Development

  • Issue all seasonal Sample Yardage orders to suppliers.
  • Organize and maintain seasonal fabric binders.
  • Assist Denim R&D team with seasonal trend research for fabric concept presentations.
  • Organize, schedule, and attend all mill and supplier appointments and local tradeshows.
  • Manage accurate and updated FIS/QPS sheets for all raw materials and update in PLM.

General Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly internal cross functional meetings with business partners to understand all product needs.
  • Track and send packages.
  • Check in seasonal submits and track all quality approvals.
  • Keep fabric library organized and current.
  • Assist with tracking and tracing sustainable attributes for all raw materials.
  • Develop an understanding of JCI's testing protocol.

Qualifications:
Required

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams/projects with tight deadlines.
  • PLM experience is preferred.

Note: Availability of these benefits and perks may be subject to work location & employment type and may have certain eligibility requirements.

Hourly Range: $25.48 - $29.74
