Job Summary
The Continuing Education Coordinator, under minimal supervision, will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing education activities. Serves as the point of contact for the Continuing Education (CE) program and assists with program development, pursuing opportunities in alignment with the Office of Education and organizational strategic plan.
Essential Functions:
- Continuing Education Program (CE)
• Manages the Continuing Education email inbox and distributes inquiries as appropriate.
• Conducts expectations training with department administrative support.
• Collaborates with Denver Health partners to establish and maintain appropriate learning management system and CE database.
• Oversees and ensures coordination for the CE program. Prepares, communicates, and provides information to key faculty members.
• Participates in the review and approval of submitted CE activities.
• Designs and distributes marketing materials for educational activities.
• Partners with key stakeholders to execute on-site event logistics.
• Oversees outcomes measurement components: pre-test, post-test, polling, evaluation.
• Develops and distributes activity summary to faculty/departments.
• Compiles and analyzes CE program feedback and suggests program improvements for subsequent activities.
• Tracks and provides updates on CE program metrics.
• Remains current on changes and updates in continuing education accreditation requirements.
• Manages and ensures policies and procedures are continuously updated and compliant with current standards.
• Schedules Continuing Education Committee meetings and maintains and distributes meeting minutes. (80%) - International Visiting Physician (IVP) Program
• Drafts affiliation agreements with the Visiting Physician, the Visiting Physician's institution, or sponsoring organization.
• Participates in review and approval of submitted IVP applications.
• Collects all required documentation to ensure all DHHA requirements for enrolling in the program and participating are met.
• Partners with department administrative staff to ensure an efficient application process and exceptional learning experience for our visitors.
• Tracks the IVP's learning experience to comply with IVP policy length of participation.
• Collaborates with the Education Operations Manager to update and maintain external Office of Education IVP website.
(15%) - Assists in strategic planning for excellence in continuing education and IVP programs. (5%)
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years experience facilitating programs and/or learning events.
Licenses:

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely and proactive manner.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
- Ability to communicate effectively one to one as well as within a group.
- Ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized, and instructive information.
- Works effectively and collaboratively with cross content and cross disciplinary staff.
