Job Description
This role is based at our New York Design Office. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the execution of Kohl's public relations efforts and support influencer marketing and social campaigns while garnering ongoing press and engagement for Kohl's.
What You’ll Do
Support public relations strategies including research, pitching, content partnership execution, event planning, gifting and extensive writing
Manage and coordinate all sample collection, disbursements and returns
Run the New York showroom for press events and team needs
Monitor and report on media coverage and campaign performance
Track industry trends and maintain editorial calendars and media contact lists
Maintain a pulse on industry and competitor landscape to identify and execute innovative strategies and tactics
Support press, experiential, social content and engagement teams
Additional tasks may be assigned
What Skills You Have
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Brand Marketing, Social Media, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Experiential Marketing, or other applicable areas of study
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in consumer public relations with established editorial contacts
Understanding of the retail and/or corporate environment
Preferred
Experience working with different social media spaces (Facebook, X/Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Threads) and editorial platforms (Cision
Experience in planning and executing influencer content across paid and organic channels
Experience working with/for agencies
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and outside of the box
