As a Commercial Steering Coordinator, you support Hapag-Lloyd Benelux in improving commercial performance. You turn data into clear insights, explain deviations and trends, and help internal stakeholders align on priorities and actions. This role requires strong business understanding and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Identify deviations, trends and opportunities in volumes, revenues and customer performance, and translate them into clear recommendations and actions.
- Align priorities across Sales and other internal stakeholders and create buy-in for decisions and focus topics.
- Monitor commercial KPIs and sales performance and propose corrective actions to support target achievement.
- Prepare forecasts, reports and management updates and ensure consistent definitions and a single source of truth.
- Track market and competitor developments and translate them into commercial implications.
- Support pricing and customer focus discussions with structured analyses and business rationale.
- Support customer segmentation and targeted sales approaches together with the sales team and monitor effectiveness.
- Drive practical improvements in reporting and commercial processes in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Sales Director (administrative and analytical).
- Commercial mindset with strong stakeholder management skills;
- Able to influence without formal authority
- Strong in interpreting numbers, spotting anomalies and finding explanations with the business
- Structured, proactive and comfortable working under pressure
- Fluent in English
- Basic understanding of KPI and reporting concepts
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, charts)
- Experience with BI/reporting tools such as QlikSense/QlikView and/or Salesforce reporting is a plus
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) is a plus
Experience with process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) is a plus, but not required
No programming required; affinity with data and reporting is important
