Job Details:
The primary function of this position is to read, interpret, and complete K-12 National School Lunch Program bid contracts and Requests for Proposal (RFPs). This role includes working with other departments to obtain required information, verifying Tyson's availability to ensure contract compliance, creating letters, obtaining signatures, and gathering company policies required for bid submission.
Additional responsibilities include evaluating whether requested products meet bid contract item specifications and entering pricing information into bid contract forms. The position requires maintaining accurate records of commonly used bid materials and documentation, as well as ensuring the accuracy of information in all third-party bidding systems.
The role is responsible for submitting renewal and non-renewal letters and managing all correspondence related to bid contracts. Responsibilities also include obtaining award information, gathering competitive pricing data, and verifying that information is accurately entered into BidAdvantage. The position works closely with other departments to communicate and coordinate their responsibilities to maintain compliance with bid contract requirements.
Additional duties include uploading signed state participation agreements to the shared drive and uploading signed bid contracts into the Contract Management System (CMS).
In addition to school bid contracts, this position is responsible for completing State Participation Agreements to ensure eligibility to conduct USDA commodity reprocessing business in each participating state.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Three or more years of office experience required.
One year of experience with Tyson office systems preferred.
Computer Skills
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Communication Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated professionalism in all communications.

Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage high-pressure deadlines.
