About the role
As a Cooper you’ll play a pivotal role within our hardworking team at Cambus Cooperage rebuilding and regenerating whisky casks for our single grain and single malt distilleries all over Scotland.
You’ll have the determination to achieve or surpass planned weekly/daily production schedules by filling, warehousing, disgorging and empty cask handling in a timely manner and to our highest quality standards to ensure seamless cask output.
Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other KPI’s and targets.
You’ll support the continuous improvement, decision making and problem-solving activities by providing specialist knowledge and experience presented in a logical and codified way utilising techniques and tools.
This role will cover core working hours, Monday – Thursday 07.30 – 16.00, and Friday 07.30 – 13.30.
About you

- You’ll be a qualified Cooper and/or have relevant experience.
- You’ll be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities.
- You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills and possess basic IT skills too.
- We’re looking for someone to be determined, organised and take a positive approach to their own development. You’ll have the ability to prioritise your own workload whilst supporting the wider team.
