You’ll handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, providing clear support to clients and keeping each transaction moving accurately and efficiently.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.
  • Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
  • Reviewing and progressing legal documentation, searches, enquiries and title information.
  • Preparing clear reports and advice so clients understand the key information, obligations and risks relating to their matter.
  • Planning and prioritising your work to maintain momentum across your caseload.
  • Keeping clients informed throughout their transaction and explaining progress and next steps in accessible language.
  • Managing client expectations and responding professionally to questions, concerns and changes.
  • Working closely with colleagues and relevant third parties to resolve queries and progress matters.
  • Completing client due diligence and anti-money laundering checks in line with Amity Law’s policies and applicable requirements.
  • Identifying legal, transactional and financial crime risks and escalating concerns through the appropriate route.
  • Meeting relevant lender requirements and managing professional undertakings carefully.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate matter records, correspondence and audit trails.

What You'll Bring

You’ll need strong hands-on experience independently managing varied residential conveyancing caseloads.

    You’ll also bring:

    • Practical experience progressing residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
    • Strong working knowledge of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, including the processes, documentation and risks involved.
    • Knowledge of client due diligence, anti-money laundering requirements, lender requirements and professional undertakings.
    • Confidence using legal case management systems and other technology to manage your workflow and maintain accurate records.
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal information in a straightforward way.
    • The organisation and attention to detail needed to manage competing priorities while maintaining high professional standards.
    • Sound judgement, including knowing when to escalate a concern or ask for guidance.

How You'll Work

You’ll be professional and reassuring with clients, organised in how you manage your caseload and calm when priorities change. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider Amity Law team and contributing to a consistent, high-quality client experience.
