Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Automation Supervisor, the Controls Technician will be responsible for any and all activities involving the execution and scheduling of maintenance activities needed to operate the facility, schedule work as it pertains to corrective and preventative maintenance in adherence to GMP and HACCP standards

Pay = $28-36/hr. dependent on experience
Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
· Maintain PLCs and HMIs for process equipment, including program updates, troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
· Troubleshooting and repairing production printers, labelers, and date-coding equipment. Work with equipment vendors to setup and install new and/or updated coding applications.
· Develop and maintain library of default equipment & motor drive settings as well as existing electrical prints.
· Maintain PLC components parts inventory with computerized maintenance management software.
· Maintain / PM robotic palletizers and scanning equipment. Update software as needed to support new product palletizing configurations.
· Assist maintenance technicians with repairs on production equipment.
· Updating obsolete instrumentation with modern available replacements.
· Assist parts coordinator with purchasing PLC components to maintain inventory as needed.
Required Job Skills & Qualifications
· Hard-working, enthusiastic, and motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills
· Coursework in programming and/or instrumentation
· Ability to read electrical wire diagrams
· Mechanical & electrical aptitude
· CAD familiarity is desirable
· Professional attitude
