Job Description: Controls Project Engineer
Mission of the Position
Provide assistance with incidents, changes, and other requests generated in the industrial automation installations of Vanderlande's clients, and additionally participate in improvements, preventive maintenance, and other service products.
Areas of Action and Responsibilities
Area 1: Incident Management
Provide specialized technical support for incidents and problems in the installations. Manage and follow up on incidents and problems: coordinate actions with partners and other technical support groups at Vanderlande and report to the client. Provide technical and management leadership in specific technological specialties, being a reference for the team in advanced problem analysis, improvement management, consultancy for design, training for the rest of the team as well as clients, documentation of know-how, etc.
Area 2: Other Services
Perform preventive maintenance visits both on-site and remotely. Conduct training courses for clients and colleagues at the Service Desk. Participate in the development of new tools and products to improve diagnostics of installations, etc. Generate value opportunities for the client as well as business opportunities for Vanderlande (process improvements, performance and system availability improvements, spare parts management, etc.) during maintenance visits or other contacts with the client. Participate in the execution and management of these opportunities.
Area 3: Client Management
Generate a good image of Vanderlande through management, treatment, and interaction with the client.
Area 4: Process Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
Position Characteristics
Academic Training: Technical Engineering or Higher Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or similar.
Specific Training: Experience working with SQLServer/Oracle databases. Experience with IT hardware (physical and virtualized servers with VMWARE, managed switches, disk cabinets). Desirable experience in software development or inspection in .Net and Angular.
Years of Experience: Desirable 2 years in technical service to clients, preferably in the industrial automation industry.
