As a Controls Room Product Owner (Associate), you will support the product strategy and delivery for our products, enabling effective oversight and execution across the control environment. You will drive measurable improvements in how test plans are designed, monitored, and executed—leveraging AI-enabled and agentic workflow patterns to improve efficiency, consistency, and transparency while maintaining appropriate controls and human oversight.
You will operate with a “speed-to-production” mindset, executing through an iterative delivery approach (e.g., Pizza POD model) to rapidly prototype, validate with users, and scale durable capabilities. Partnering closely with Software Engineering, Data Science, Design, Control Management, and Compliance stakeholders, you will help drive an outcome-focused roadmap, balance risk and value trade-offs, and ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, stable, and adoptable.
Control Management maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.
The Controls Room Team within Control Management works collaboratively with other control disciplines and oversees existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols. The team’s objective is to empower the three lines of defense with risk-based information to manage their control environment. We achieve this by collecting, analyzing and monitoring firmwide risk-based intelligence into all lines of business and corporate functions.

- Own and maintain the product backlog: write/refine epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are clear, testable, and aligned to outcomes.
- Contribute to AI enablement within the product: identify high-impact use cases (e.g., NLP-driven insights, automation, decision support) and support responsible deployment with appropriate controls, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Design to deliver solutions that are scalable, resilient, stable, and adaptable across testing organizations.
- Establish and track success metrics (e.g., productivity, cycle time, coverage, reliability, control outcomes) and use data to guide prioritization and iteration.
