Engineer – Controls Systems
Job Description
You will be developing real-time automation solutions from the manufacturing plant floor to the enterprise level, using a variety of programming, configuration, and design tools. This is an OOP/SPT & Python based role, with multiple positions available.
Key-skills and interests: machine and process control, high-level programming, information solutions, database development, operational efficiency, mechatronics.
Responsibilities:
- Engineering and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions
- Conceptualizing during the design phase of the project life cycle
- System programming, debugging, and testing
- Creating documentation, including project engineering notes, project design traceability documentation, case studies, and more
- Commissioning new solutions; finding opportunities for improvements
- Creating methodologies and complex problem-solving
- Learning new technologies
- Mentoring colleagues on your expertise and knowledge base
- Having fun and being challenged

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years experience -or- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated interest and ability to program, specifically object-oriented concepts
- Works well in a team-oriented setting, as well as solo on projects
- Thrives on learning and applying what you have learned to new projects
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Capable of self-starting on tasks and asking questions along the way
- Understands complex system designs
- Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter individual, who is a quick learner.
Skills Required
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
- 1-3 years of academic or work experience with listed technologies
- Demonstrated interest and ability to program in text-based languages
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting
- Good problem-solving skills
