As a Controls Engineer, you set the boundary conditions for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). You will prepare the required technical documentation for proper implementation of the HRSG controls, participate in customer and site meetings related to safety, controls, and tests.

 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams—including Process, Design, and Supply departments—to ensure that all contractual requirements are fulfilled, and system interfaces are properly integrated.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

•            Preparing Technical specifications and documentation

•            Selecting instruments for the HRSG projects

•            Managing the contractual requirements and making sure they are aligned with the project goals

•            Comfortable in taking decisions in critical situation and responsible for the outcome

•            Ability to distinguish between main and secondary issues

•            Responsible for writing the System description for the start-up, shutdown and operation of the HRSG

•            Create a Functional Controls Diagrams to control the HRSG

•            Involved with the Hazop studies and discuss outcome with the client

•            Distribute the SIL assessments as outcome from the Hazop

•            Responsible for supporting the procurement and selection of the Burner management system

•            Conducting Factory acceptance tests (FAT) at the subcontractor’s location for the Process Control Systems (DCS)

•            On-site (SAT) support related to controls

Candidate requirements

•            Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, or related fields

•            Min. of 3 years of experience with measurement & control technology or has worked as controls engineer

•            General knowledge of DCS systems and preferably have knowledge of Siemens T3000 controls system or SIMATIC PCS 7

•            Knows how to convert functional requirements into clear input for the PCS programmer.

•            Good understanding of fluid flow and heat transfer technology

•            importance in this position.

•            Ability to work independently and manage tight schedules

•            You have experience working with databases and can quickly familiarize yourself with new software.

•            Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to act as a reliable peer in a project team

•            Excellent English skills (both written and spoken)
