JOB DESCRIPTION

Adient Greenfield has a world-class maintenance team and is looking for another quality member to add to the team.

Job Duties

  • The Controls Engineer will report directly to the Plant Engineering Manager.

  • This job requires the person to be self-motivated and driven to improve our process. Must be able to work well with others.

  • Responsible for making modifications to PLC and robot programming. Installing new equipment.

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting current equipment to minimize downtime. 

  • Work closely with the maintenance team daily for maintaining current equipment as well as new equipment integration and modifications.

  • Maintaining and modifying the plant drawing using AutoCad.

  • Overtime will be required to complete projects during planned downtime for the plant  

Skills Required: 

  • PLC programming knowledge 

  • Allen Bradley RS5 

  • Allen Bradley RS500

  • Allen Bradley ControlLogix 

  • Siemens Step 7 (STL experience a plus) 

  • Siemens TIA Portal 

  • PILZ Safety PLC 

  • HMI programming knowledge 

  • Intellution IFIX 

  • Wonderware In Touch 

  • Robot Programming knowledge 

  • Motoman 

  • Fanuc 

  • AutoCad experience 

  • Plant Layout 

  • Electrical Prints 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 

Education: 

Associates degree or equivalent training with at least 3-5 years’ experience with all skills required listed above, in an engineering role.
