Financial Analyst

Purpose of the role:
This role is responsible for key processes in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for a business unit, with a strong focus on improving planning efficiency and providing strategic support to fixed cost teams.

 

The department’s main responsibilities include:

  • Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions.
  • Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
  • Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.         
  • Provides financial information, analysis, planning, follow-up and reporting services to internal clients (line and project managers).
  • Provides guidelines for budget planning.
  • Prepares, analyze, review and consolidate plans such as LTP, Budget, Forecasts, quarterly estimates, Resources & Production. Follow-up budgets and produce monthly reports for internal clients and corporate finance.
  • Support other finance teams by providing information or validation of figures.                                                                          
  • The focus is on shifting from year-to-date to year-to-go perspectives to improve seasonality in planning, evolving rolling forecasts to spend more time on analysis rather than reconciling numbers.                                                                   
  • Coordination and alignment between BU, HOS FP&A, and fixed costs teams are emphasized, alongside supporting variance analysis and reclassification exercises.                                                                   
  • Creating Power BI fixed costs reports for end-users, supporting fixed costs teams, monitoring monthly headcount, participating in training for CCOP end-users, timely delivery of product cycle reports and, quarterly business reviews. 

                                           

Relevant qualifications:
  • University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Mathematics, Commerce, or Business Management/Administration                                                                                       
  • 4 yeaers experience as FP&A in a multinational firm
  • Experience in SAP
  • Good understanding of the Amadeus business a plus or a good articulation of the business drivers with a clear demonstration of understanding business processes.
  • Excel and Office package, and major ERP such as SAP; Salesforce package is a plus
  • Fluent in English                                                                 
  • Proficient in excel with advance functions (pivot tables, vlookup, macros,) and Power BI.                                                                                  
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
