1. Core Ownership & Policy Stewardship
End-to-End Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of the financial numbers and lending finance processes, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.
Policy Point of Contact: Act as the key point of contact (alongside the Head of Controllership) for all accounting, spend, and financial policies. You will provide guidance to the business to ensure all actions align with Fuse’s standards.
Process Governance: Oversee the end-to-end lending finance workflow, identifying bottlenecks and implementing controls to safeguard financial reporting.
2. Financial Performance & Monitoring
Continuous Monitoring: Review revenue and spend numbers by actively monitoring pre-month-end preparation, month-end execution, and post-month-end reconciliations to ensure no leakage or errors.
Variance Analysis: Track and analyze monthly performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year, identifying key drivers for revenue, costs, KPIs, contribution margin, NIM, and EBITDA.
Risk Detection: Proactively surface emerging risks, anomalies, and performance gaps, recommending corrective actions to leadership.
3. Management Reporting
Reporting Excellence: Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, dashboards, and performance packs for leadership and stakeholders.
Audit Readiness: Support the Controller in audit engagements, ensuring quarterly audits are executed smoothly as part of the new BAU cycle.
Standardization: Maintain reporting calendars, enhance templates, and drive accuracy and reliability across all financial submissions.
4. Projects Post-Mortem & Financial Review
ROI Validation: Conduct post-implementation reviews of major projects, evaluating actual performance against the original business cases (ROI, payback, and profitability).
Stakeholder Alignment: Validate data and assumptions with project teams to document lessons learned and improve future business case accuracy.
5. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects
Efficiency & Automation: Drive automation in budgeting and forecasting while supporting finance transformation initiatives (systems and data enhancements).
Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform high-level financial evaluations and prepare executive-level materials to support strategic decision-making.
