We seek to hire a Controller who will strengthen our company culture and represent the company well while leading all accounting operations for EGStoltzfus and its related subsidiaries. This role ensures the accurate and timely production of financial reports, maintains an adequate system of accounting records, and oversees internal controls and budgets. The individual in this role serves as the operational leader of the accounting function and works closely with leadership to support organizational decision-making through reliable financial date and disciplined accounting practices.

The candidate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks:

· Oversee and manage all accounting and clerical staff.

· Manage all accounting operations and financial controls of the corporation and related subsidiaries and entities.

· Mange month and year end closing process and produce and distribute financial statements in a timely manner.

· Assist leadership by monitoring and developing operating budgets and financial projections for the corporation and subsidiaries.

· Supervise the management of corporate and subsidiary cash accounts.

· Manage all aspects of corporate taxation in coordination with outside CPA firms.

· Plan for and organize the annual financial review by the company’s independent CPA firm.

· Monitor and manage subcontractor compliance with corporate insurance requirements.

· Ensure proper accounting treatment for construction, land development, and related entities.

· Work with benefit plans and payroll as requested by the Human Resources Director.

· Attend meetings and training as assigned or applicable to the role.

Qualifications for this position include:

· Bachelor’s Degree: CPA strongly preferred

· Prior accounting experience in the construction industry

· Experience with Timberline / Sage and MarkSystems software preferred

· Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop team

· Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor

· Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications

· Flexible, adaptable, and able to innovate within established controls
