SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Jet HomeLoans, LP, a subsidiary of Dream Finders Homes is a National Mortgage Lender headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Jet HomeLoans focuses on providing its customers and business partners with the industry’s best services.

The Controller works with internal audit and external auditors as well as compliance to track and develop internal controls. Tracks efficiency and productivity of accounts payable, receivables, credits and collections, payroll, inventory integrity, and fixed assets records made by subordinates. Complies with government regulatory reporting and tax filings. Coordinates for the provision of information to external auditors. Provides financial analysis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Manages outsource firms, commercial banking relationships, audit firms, banks, lessors, insurance companies, and overseas subsidiaries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

· Maintains set of controls within the accounting department.

· Maintains a system of supporting records of accounting with a set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risks.

· Tracks efficiency and productivity of accounts payable, receivables, credits and collections, payroll, inventory integrity, and fixed assets records made by subordinates.

· Complies with government regulatory reporting and tax filings.

· Coordinates for the provision of information to external auditors.

· Provides financial analysis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

· Manages outsource firms, commercial banking relationships, audit firms, banks, lessors, insurance companies, and overseas subsidiaries.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· 3-5 years of experience in financial management and accounting.

· CPA certification preferred.

· Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Standard office environment.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
