Controller

At NetBox Labs, we’re building the future of network automation. Our products power the network and infrastructure management for thousands of organizations, from fast-growing startups to global Fortune 500 enterprises. We’re now looking for a Controller to build our accounting function from the ground up.

• Lead full-cycle accounting, month end close, preparation of financial statements, and variance analysis

• Coordinate US GAAP audits with external auditors

• Manage enterprise and self-service billing, revenue recognition, and AR

• Manage payroll via PEOs, AP and credit cards

• Implement sales/use tax registrations and processes across states

• Manage general tax compliance and filings

• Own internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems

• Leverage AI tools to build the foundation of a next generation accounting function

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of experience working in a high-growth SaaS startup environment, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous settings. Experience in an on-premises software business is a plus.

• 5+ years of experience working in an accounting function.

• Direct experience implementing sales/use tax collection.

• Direct experience working on or leading a financial audit for a SaaS startup.

• Direct experience running US and international payroll is preferred.

• Big 4 experience and CPA preferred.

• Deep grasp of corporate finance, US GAAP, SaaS accounting (e.g. ASC 606), and internal financial controls.

• Passion for building and maintaining a clean financial system.

• Desire to experiment and leverage AI to build a best in class accounting function.

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to translate financial complexity into narratives for executive stakeholders.

• Evaluating and incorporating business needs into financial processes to support the company’s goals.

• Prior experience leading and building a team is a plus.
