Role Overview:
- Lead the organization's accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll support, and oversight of accounts payable and receivable
- Work closely with the CFO on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Supervise a small team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of all financial operations
- Support audits, manage financial systems and controls, and ensure adherence to internal procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP and organizational policies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial controls and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless financial operations across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA, MBA or advanced degree is a plus
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a nonprofit environment
- Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
