As we continue to grow, we are seeking a high performance, self-motivated, experienced professional who is looking for an opportunity to help drive our business as a Controller. Candidates should have a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate for this position will report directly to our CFO and will play an instrumental role in the financial future of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
The Controller will report to the CFO and will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, forecasting, supporting financial audits, compliance with tax laws, and overseeing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Guide financial management by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Work with auditors and lead preparation for financial audits and implement audit recommendations
- Oversee monthly and yearly financial close
- Prepare budgets by refining and maintaining a forecast model and consolidating financial data
- Achieve budget objectives by tracking expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating or overseeing corrective actions.
- Track the company’s financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data.
- Support compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws, file financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
- Manage Assistant Controller regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable and asset management.
Specific accountabilities include:
- Oversight of all company accounting practices, including budget preparation, financial reporting, tax and audit functions
- Direction of financial planning and analysis in collaboration with the CFO, CEO and others on the executive leadership team as necessary
- Supervision of cash management
- Analysis and interpretation of financial data support of recommended changes to improve systems and financial performance
- Work with sales and human resources teams to design commission / bonus plans and manage related costs
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and best practices
- CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and balance multiple responsibilities
- Outstanding communication skills to include listening, verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational & time management skills
- Proactive and driven to provide optimal results with high personal drive, integrity, and a positive attitude
Must be authorized to work in the US
