About the Role

Essity North America Health and Medical Solutions is currently seeking a Controller who will be a business partner to the stakeholders and lead the senior leadership team through various financial controls, annual budgeting, & quarterly forecasting. We're looking for people who embody our values, aren't afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace.

This is an onsite role, and the ideal candidate should live in the Manchester, CT area or is willing to relocate.

What You Will Do

Performance Analysis & Management Reporting:

  • Ensure accurate cost accounting;

  • Lead decisions on cost management;

  • Evaluate local plant financial performance and provide insight to management;

  • Ensure capital assets are managed effectively;

  • Continuously analyze and report deviations in financial results;

Period Closing & Reporting:

  • Drive and steer the period closing process;

  • Check and drive consistency and quality of reporting;

  • Execute AP/TP-Process;

  • Check and validate selected balance sheet items (stock, assets, provisions);

  • Define and initiate corrective actions (postings, materials, finance and controlling ledgers);

  • Provide and request inputs from Financial Shared Services Center;

Strategic Planning & Budgeting:

  • Provide input to Supply Chain North America Strategic Plan;

  • Execute Annual Budget Process;

Business Partner & Project Support:

  • Member of the Site Leadership Team;

  • Member of Manufacturing Controlling network;

  • Support and drive follow-up actions to improve financial results;

  • Be the respected sparring partner concerning financial decisions within the factory;

  • Provide financial expertise to drive Business Cases;

  • Drive and Execute Projects;

Ensure Accurate Financial Control:

  • External controls (Tax, Government, and Audit Agencies);

  • Internal controls (MICRs);

Financial Forecasting:

  • Ensure quality capital forecasting;

  • Execute quarterly financial forecast process;

  • Assess business objectives fulfillment and drive corrective actions;

  • Additional responsibilities as required.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics required;

  • Master’s preferred;

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience required;

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a finance controller required;

  • Advanced Excel Skills, Sage100, SAP and Business Warehouse, and Data Warehouse/Database tools preferred;

  • Leadership, Reliability, and Integrity;

  • Ability to Prioritize;

  • Demonstrated Decision Making Abilities;

  • Presentation Skills;

  • Interpersonal Savvy;

  • Dealing with Ambiguity;

  • Strategic Agility;

  • Problem Solving;

  • Minimal travel required – 10%.

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected Compensation:

$95,000 - $120,000 annual salary range + annual incentive bonus + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
