About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Controller to play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will exhibit:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize return and limit risk by minimizing bank balances and making strategic investments.
  • Prepare special financial reports by analyzing information and identifying trends.
  • Ensure smooth operation of equipment by managing preventive maintenance, service contracts, and equipment inventories.
  • Lead and mentor the financial staff, providing coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge through workshops, professional publications, and networking.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
    • CPA designation (required).
    • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 7-10 years of relevant accounting experience, including leadership roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 860).
    • Proficiency in NetSuite; experience with Avalara and MineralTree is a plus.
    • Advanced financial analysis skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel.
    • Knowledge of Software and Hardware Revenue Recognition.
  • Leadership & Communication:
    • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams with strong communication skills.
  • Adaptability:
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes and establish standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Expertise in tracking and managing budget expenses.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet for up to 8-10 hours as needed.
