What You'll Do at Brandywine Counseling:
- Financial Reporting & Statements: Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, producing accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist leadership in developing annual budgets, entering information into software, monitor the budget against actual spending, and identify financial variances.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies to safeguard company assets, mitigate risk, and prevent fraud
- Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Manages, maintains and mentor the accounting department, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll staff
- Audit & Tax Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations including 1099s, W-2
- Prepares- Indirect Cost Proposal: Develops, and submits the indirect cost proposal to the federal government for federal contracts
- Contract involvement for third party payers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Technical Accounting: Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP) and financial close management tools.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret complex financial data to generate insights, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitability.
- Education & Certifications: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. Most employers require or strongly prefer a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
Requirements
Qualifications for this position are:
- REQUIRED: B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- PREFERRED: MBA
- PREFERRED: Non-profit
- REQUIRED: Minimum of 8-10 years related experience including computer and/or business management experience.
- PREFERRED: 7 to 10 years of accounting or finance experience
Pay:
- Starting at $45/hour
- Commensurate with experience and education
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- From 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Additional hours as needed

Skills Required
- B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years related experience including computer and/or business management experience
- Advanced understanding of GAAP or IFRS
- Expertise in advanced ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP) and financial close management tools
- Experience managing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable and mentoring accounting staff
- Experience coordinating external audits and ensuring tax compliance (1099s, W-2)
- Experience developing and submitting indirect cost proposals to the federal government
- MBA
