Position Overview
This is a full-time remote contractor position responsible for
overseeing daily accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records,
supporting reporting processes, and helping leadership improve financial
visibility across multiple business entities.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional —
not a strategist or advisor — who thrives in a fast-paced environment,
communicates fluently in English, and is deeply fluent in QuickBooks Online.
You will work directly with Fusion leadership and be trusted to own the numbers
independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting operations
across multiple entities
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and chart of
accounts
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance
sheet accounts
• Prepare journal entries and lead month-end close
processes
• Produce financial reports and operational reporting for
leadership
• Maintain and audit financial records in QuickBooks
Online
• Monitor customer balances, collections, and open
invoices
• Track commissions and manage partner-related accounting
• Proactively identify discrepancies and resolve
accounting issues
• Improve accounting systems, workflows, and internal
controls
• Build and maintain SOPs and process documentation for
the finance function
Qualifications — All Required / Non-Negotiable
Candidates who do not meet every
item below will not be advanced.
• QuickBooks Online (5+ years required): 5+ years
minimum, active QuickBooks Online experience
Candidates must currently or
recently be managing full accounting cycles in QBO as their primary system.
Listing QBO as a skill without demonstrated ongoing use does not qualify. A
detailed QBO experience summary is required with your application.
• Accounting Experience (5+ years): 5+ years of
hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience
Must include daily bookkeeping,
general ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end
close ownership. Experience primarily in FP&A, audit, advisory, or
strategic finance does not qualify.
• Controller or Senior Accounting Title: Controller,
Contralora, Contadora General, or equivalent senior accounting title in a prior
or current role
Candidates whose most recent title
is CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director, or equivalent C-suite will not be
considered. This role requires execution, not strategy.
• Multi-Entity Experience: Experience managing
accounting for 3 or more legal entities simultaneously
Must include separate GL records,
reconciliations, and financial statements per entity.
• Advanced English (B2 minimum, C1 preferred): Must
be able to communicate in writing and verbally with U.S.-based leadership
without translation support. B2 minimum; C1 strongly preferred. Self-rated
“intermediate” does not qualify.
• Remote U.S. Work Experience: Must have
functioned as the accounting owner for a U.S. company or U.S.-based client—not
just international exposure or incidental contact with U.S. teams.
• Accrual Accounting: Strong accrual accounting
knowledge including revenue recognition, prepaid amortization, depreciation,
and period-end adjustments.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets: Advanced Excel
or Google Sheets skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial
modeling.
• Independent Work Ethic: Ability to manage
multiple priorities independently in a high-growth environment with minimal
supervision.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with service-based businesses — real estate,
professional services, hospitality, or similar preferred over manufacturing or
industrial backgrounds
• Commission tracking, revenue-share models, or
partner-based accounting — directly relevant to Fusion’s structure
• Experience building or improving accounting SOPs,
workflows, and internal controls from the ground up
• Familiarity with property management accounting tools
such as AppFolio or Property ware
• Experience with high transaction volume across multiple
entities
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP reporting standards
• Currently available or able to start within 30 days

• Compensation: $3,500–$4,000 USD per month based on
experience and qualifications
