Trueline is seeking a Controller to join their team in Portland, Tennessee. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced manufacturing finance professional to serve as the senior financial leader of the organization, partnering directly with executive leadership to support continued growth, operational excellence, and long-term business strategy.
What You'll Do as the Controller:
- Lead all accounting and financial operations for the business
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee general ledger activity, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and work-in-process reporting
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting initiatives
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial models to support business decisions
- Partner closely with operations leadership to improve cost visibility and profitability
- Manage standard costing processes and analyze manufacturing variances
- Support pricing decisions, margin analysis, and operational performance improvements
- Maintain banking relationships and assist with financing activities
- Evaluate capital investments and support long-range planning initiatives
- Coordinate tax compliance, audits, insurance programs, and financial governance activities
- Serve as the financial leader and primary ERP business owner
- Present financial results and recommendations to executive leadership and ownership groups
- Lead and mentor accounting staff while helping scale financial processes for future growth
Must-Haves as the Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Strong manufacturing accounting background
- Expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and work-in-process accounting
- Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning experience
- ERP experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong financial analysis and business partnership capabilities
- Ability to thrive in a lean, hands-on organization

- CPA or CMA designation

This position Offers:
- Base salary of $140,000 - $160,000
- Annual bonus opportunity targeted at 15%
