Good Shepherd Episcopal School seeks an Interim Controller to provide leave coverage in a Fixed-Term contract from November 1, 2026, through March 12, 2027. Responsibilities will be as follows:
Essential Functions:
- Uphold and support the mission of the School and support the Six Values of our Episcopal Identity.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community members while maintaining a positive team attitude.
- Treat each child with dignity and respect.
- Provides leadership to all in the Business Office in support of the school’s mission, by supervising staff in the areas of accounting, payroll & benefits, student billing, database administration
- Completes the monthly accounting close process, including reconciliations and rollforward schedules
- Reviews and approves Accounts Payable transactions weekly and payroll bi-monthly
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, CPA designation preferred with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with school representatives, parents, students, and representatives from the business community.
- Working knowledge of business accounting policies, procedures, practices and software programs.
- Ability to think and plan strategically and creatively.
- Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions and activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, CPA designation preferred with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
