In France, our Paris Business Unit continues to grow, and we are strengthening our Finance organisation to support this development while maintaining a high level of financial discipline, governance and operational performance.

The Financial Controller will play a key role in this organisation, partnering closely with our Paris Business Unit leadership while working within Synechron's wider international Finance organisation.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Financial Planning & Analysis 

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting cycles 

• Develop robust financial forecasts (short, mid, and long term) aligned with business objectives 

• Monitor and analyze financial performance against plans, identifying risks and opportunities 

• Provide actionable insights to senior management to support decision-making 

2. Financial Performance & KPI Monitoring 

• Define, track, and report on key financial and operational KPIs, including:  

• Revenue and growth 

• Margins and profitability 

• Utilization / billability (ESN context) 

• Cost structure and productivity 

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of management reporting 

• Drive continuous improvement in financial performance monitoring processes 

3. Accounting & Compliance 

• Oversee accounting operations in compliance with French GAAP and group standards 

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings 

• Manage statutory accounts, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements 

• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes 

4. Business Partnership 

• Act as a strategic partner to business leaders (Sales, Delivery, PMO) 

• Support deal reviews, pricing validation, and financial structuring of client engagements 

• Provide financial guidance on large consulting projects and investments 

• Ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational execution 

5. Team Leadership (Finance & PMO) 

• Manage and develop Finance and PMO teams, ensuring high performance and engagement 

• Define team objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support capability development 

• Promote best practices in financial governance, project tracking, and reporting 

6. Governance & Multinational Environment 

• Ensure alignment with group financial policies and reporting standards 

• Collaborate with international finance teams across regions 

• Contribute to global financial initiatives and process harmonization 

Profile & Qualifications

Experience 

• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management within a French company

• Strong experience in a Technology Consulting company (ESN) 

• Proven track record in: 

• Budgeting and forecasting processes 

• Financial and KPI performance monitoring 

• Accounting and financial reporting 

• Experience working in multinational organizations 

• Demonstrated experience managing external audits 

Skills & Competencies 

• Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities 

• In-depth knowledge of French accounting standards and financial regulations 

• Ability to manage complexity in a project-based (ESN) environment 

• Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders 

• High level of rigor, reliability, and attention to detail 

Leadership 

• Proven experience managing Finance and PMO teams 

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities 

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment 

Languages 

• Fluent in French and English (mandatory)

You will work closely with senior business leaders and international Finance teams, combining financial control, performance management and business partnering to support the continued development of our Paris Business Unit.
