We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Management Specialist to join our team. The Technical Product Management Specialist will oversee the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of AVEVA Unified Operations Center (UOC) within CyrusOne's data center operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operational Technology, this role will support strategic goals by ensuring AVEVA UOC is fully aligned with operational needs, business objectives, and technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
Platform Expertise & Leadership
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for AVEVA Unified Operations Center (UOC) and other operational technologies within data center environments.
- Lead the internal strategy and roadmap development for AVEVA UOC, ensuring alignment with the goals set by the Director of Operational Technology and broader operational objectives.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and the AVEVA product team to drive product enhancements and resolve technical issues.
Strategy
- Work closely with the Director of Operational Technology to align the AVEVA UOC platform’s capabilities with the strategic goals of the OT group.
- Act as the key point of contact within the OT group for AVEVA UOC product developments, ensuring alignment with department initiatives
Implementation & Integration
- Oversee the full implementation lifecycle of AVEVA UOC across multiple data centers, coordinating with engineering, IT, and operations teams.
- Ensure that the platform is integrated with existing systems, such as SCADA, BMS, CMMS, and EPMS, providing seamless data flow and enhanced operational visibility.
- Lead technical workshops and collaboration sessions to tailor AVEVA UOC configurations to meet specific operational needs.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with the Director of Operational Technology and other internal stakeholders to prioritize product enhancements, integration efforts, and deployments across data center operations.
Product Management & Customization
- Act as the product owner for AVEVA UOC, managing the internal product roadmap, feature requests, and ongoing platform customization.
- Design and develop customized dashboards, reports, and alerts within AVEVA UOC to provide actionable insights for operational teams.
- Monitor and report on platform performance, recommending improvements and optimizations as necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Work closely with internal stakeholders from data center operations, engineering, IT, and leadership teams to define requirements and deliver on platform objectives.
- Provide training and support to users across the organization to ensure effective adoption and utilization of AVEVA UOC.
- Facilitate ongoing feedback loops between users and technical teams to ensure the platform continues to meet business needs
Technical Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide hands-on technical support for any AVEVA UOC-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and operational impact.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for system-related problems, working with AVEVA support as needed.
- Continuously seek out new opportunities for optimization, automation, and data-driven decision-making through AVEVA UOC.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in operational technology, product management, or data center operations.
- Proven track record managing or implementing AVEVA UOC or similar platforms in a large-scale operational environment.
- Hands-on experience with platform integration and configuration in industrial settings.
- Strong experience with AVEVA Unified Operations Center (UOC) and its integration with data center systems (SCADA, BMS, CMMS, EPMS).
- Knowledge of data center operations, automation technologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Understanding of operational data analytics, real-time monitoring, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, BackNET, OPC, Modbus).
- Excellent product management skills, including roadmapping, stakeholder management, and platform optimization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver solutions.
- Ability to participate in regular meetings across multiple international time zones.
- Ability to travel 15% of the time, including international.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in AVEVA UOC, operational technologies, or industrial systems management are highly desirable.
