As a Controls Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will support the Payments Compliance Risk Assessment and collaborate with our partners in Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE).
Job Responsibilities :
- Assist in data mining activities to extract insights and support decision-making. Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies affecting payment controls.
- Develop an understanding of legal obligations related to payment controls. Support the team in interpreting and applying these obligations to ensure compliance.
- Gain exposure to the relationship between OLO (Obligation, Liability, and Ownership) mapping, Compliance Groups, and the Controls Environment. Utilize this knowledge to enhance payment controls.
- Collaborate with the GRDE team to stay informed about global regulatory developments. Provide support in aligning with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Help identify, assess, and manage obligations related to issues in payment controls.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
- Interest in data mining, analysis, and interpretation within a financial or regulatory environment.
- Willingness to learn about legal obligations and compliance requirements related to payment controls.
- Strong analytical skills with an eagerness to interpret complex data and provide insights.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and issues management.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
- Familiarity with OLO mapping and its application in compliance and controls is a plus.
- Interest in global regulatory environments or working with regulatory bodies.
- Basic knowledge of payment systems and financial controls is advantageous.
