This is a 6 month contract position with the possibility of conversion to full time.
Brief summary of role:
- Review, draft, negotiate, and administer a wide variety of contracts with outside entities ( industry customers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, etc.).
- Identify contractual risks to management and take necessary actions to mitigate.
- Effectively and tactfully communicate, negotiate, and coordinate with internal staff and external entities to meet overall contract and business objectives and ensure favorable terms and conditions are established.
- Document policies and procedures and lead projects related to Contracts Department functions.
- Prepares agreements and amendments for approval by the Director of Legal.
- Manages contract renewal process working with management and client-facing team.
- Tracks sales and cancellations and provides monthly reports for management and as requested.
- Maintains updated contract information in Ironclad CLM and provides regular reporting.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for managing and processing a high volume of outbound communication while and maintaining a high quality of services and performance standards
- Qualify and close each outbound prospect, asking key questions that identifies their business use case for our platform and ensuring they have the right equipment to ensure the best experience possible with our product
- Coordinate with our new platform users to understand who will be their front end and back end users, as well as key stakeholders who need to be invited to the initial onboarding call
- Document Salesforce.com with notes and relevant details for the Customer Success teams, including project details, roles of key stakeholders, and business use case
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in a law firm’s corporate legal department or an in-house legal team .
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Paralegal, Legal Secretary, or prior experience working with contracts preferred
- Experience with contract systems or automated software
- Basic knowledge of contract law, types of contracts, terms and conditions, legal requirements and the negotiation process.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines autonomously with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of risk management, intellectual property, database management, and familiarity with ERP systems are a plus
- Critical thinking, including devising creative solutions to resolve new and unexpected issues/uncertain situations.
- Strong working knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Knowledge of IronClad is a significant advantage
Base Salary: $81,000 to $110,000
The “Base Salary: range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations including but not limited to CA, CO, NY, WA, NV, MD, CT and RI. The determination of this anticipated Base Salary involves the consideration of many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: location of candidate, unique skill sets, experience, training, performance, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs.
