The Contracts Manager role holds responsibility for supporting the Veriforce Group General Counsel on the management of commercial contracts across the group, predominantly focused in North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, amend, and proofread legal agreements, predominantly NDAs, tender documents, and supplier/client commercial contracts.
- Lead and manage commercial contract negotiations with third parties, providing updates to the General Counsel and other key internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Organize and maintain documents, files, and records, including the vendor contract management system.
- Provide advice on legal documents, highlighting risks and issues so that business decisions can be made.
- Support the Vendor Management Process.
- Assist with commercial queries relating to contracts, providing practical advice to the business.
- Maintain, and where instructed, update precedent documents and templates.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience of managing and negotiating commercial contracts within North America.
- Knowledge of key commercial contract principles.
- Understanding of Privacy Law requirements within North America and experience of negotiating key principles in commercial contracts.
Desirable:
- In-house legal experience
- Experience of negotiating and managing global contracts.
- Detailed knowledge of GDPR and negotiating key principles in commercial contracts.
Skills and Competencies:
- Competent with use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Bilingual English and French
