Role Description
The Advatix® Contracts Manager (CM) will be responsible for coordinating with the Advatix Sales, Operations, Technology, and Legal teams as well as Customers to draft, negotiate terms, and manage company commercial contracts. Reporting to the Advatix® Chief of Staff, the CM must have the ability to work independently and as an effective and engaged team member in a fast-paced environment. Strong initiative and follow-through are essential for this job. The ability to maintain confidentiality and to operate in the role with the highest ethical standards and professionalism are required. The CM must apply a bias for action whether working independently or as an effective and engaged team member across a variety of projects and assignments related to contract management. The Advatix® Contracts Manager works collaboratively within the Advatix and XPDEL teams, as well as with the global support team as needed to ensure that all relevant projects and objectives are executed and completed to expectations. The Contracts Manager is responsible for modeling company values and promoting the company culture.
Key Result Areas
 

  • Work with the executive leadership team to understand services, products offered, and the company’s strategic objectives to ensure contracts effectively represent the goal of the company and support the desired outcomes of projects and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Legal firms to draft, maintain, and update contract templates, implement best practices, support filings, and compliance to support business evolution
  • Enable Sales and other internal teams to win contracts by providing contracting and contract management services, addressing legal and business questions, and providing guidance as well as practical solutions
  • Design, implement, and follow department processes to maintain transparency of legal review/negotiation for internal clients and track the status of current contracts
  • Support the company and its affiliates filings for permits, certifications, and compliance needs
  • Identify risks and efficiently communicate those risks to appropriate internal decision-makers for discussion and resolution


Skills & Qualifications
 

  • BS or BA degree (JD-related degree preferred) and Paralegal certification required
  • Preferred 3 years of relevant experience as a contracts manager or paralegal, including in-house in supply chain and logistics or related industry
  • Strong abilities and experience with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Able to collaborate, as well as to work independently while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high level of professionalism
  • Must have excellent customer service orientation, a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to work with limited direction.
  • Self-motivated, with initiative and the ability to take ownership of, and follow through with specific tasks.
  • Skilled in developing collaborative internal and external relationships
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements
