The Opportunity
As a member of the Legal Operations team, you will play a key role in contract negotiations and oversight of Relay Tx’s contract lifecycle management (CLM) system. You will be responsible for independently reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, overseeing the contract approval process, leading contract data integrity initiatives, and implementing process improvements. You will report to the Director of Legal Operations.
Your Role
- Negotiate and process confidentiality agreements, statements of work, consulting agreements, master service agreements, and additional agreements typical of the drug discovery industry commensurate with your experience
- Manage daily intake and triage of contract review requests through CLM system
- Daily oversight of contract approval process and integration between CLM and purchase order systems
- Coordinate with Relay’s finance team to ensure smooth end-to-end process from contract initiation through invoicing
- Audit and maintain contract expiration and auto-renewal notifications through CLM system
- Analyze data within CLM system to identify areas of focus; determine and execute data cleanup initiatives
- Optimize CLM workflows and perform testing of new functionality prior to rollout
- Conduct training for both new and existing CLM system users
- Develop CLM metrics, reports, and dashboard views in collaboration with individual departments based on their specific needs
- Assist with template development, drafting and preparing forms, letters, and other legal documents
- Assist in training and enforcement of legal processes and policies
- Support the legal team with budget management and invoice processing
- Support and handle a variety of ad hoc projects within the team as they arise
