The Senior Manager, Contracts and Negotiation for Cytiva is primarily responsible for supporting the creation, negotiation, modification, and approval of commercial sales agreements that drive significant impact to Cytiva, as well as management of Contracts and Negotiation Managers.

This position reports to the Director, Commercial Contracts, is part of the Commercial Contracts and CCAP team located in Marlborough, MA and will be located ONSITE. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise the daily activities of a team reviewing commercial contracts to meet the contracts approval policy at Cytiva; set priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinate work activities with other supervisors
  • Draft, review, edit, and negotiate commercial customer agreements, such as (but not limited to): sales contracts, amendments, reseller agreements, pricing agreements, contract renewals, and customer requests for proposal, etc.
  • Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends innovative solutions and best practices; assess and lead initiatives to improve contracting processes and tools
  • Train and advise commercial teams on agreement structure, templates, risks, and alternatives
  • Ensure compliance to the contracts approval policy and other company policies; solicit buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders
  • Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Provide training, mentorship, and 2nd-tier support to other contracts team members

Who you are:

  • Possess a law degree (Juris Doctorate or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience with commercial contract review, redlining, and drafting, including local, regional, and global agreements
  • 5+ years’ experience with contract negotiations and external client engagement
  • Demonstrable experience (i) using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative contract solutions, and (ii) prioritizing competing demands from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prior supervisory experience, especially involving contracts
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and/or life sciences industry
  • Experience using Salesforce.com (SFDC) and/or an SFDC-based contract lifecycle management system

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
