- Provide legal counsel and guidance to the Company regarding commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements and discussing issues and potential risks internally with various departments including business development, client services, information technology, finance and procurement.
- Proactively identify legal risks and provide creative, business-oriented solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Interact with external stakeholders including customers, vendors and other third parties to develop commercial agreements and address legal matters related to such agreements on an ongoing basis.
- Manage and coordinate external legal resources where appropriate to obtain relevant expertise.
- Develop templates and processes related to managing form agreements and negotiations.
- Review relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure the company's compliance and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal implications of business strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct legal research and analysis as necessary to support contract review, business decisions and legal strategies.

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the relevant state bar association.
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a portion of that experience in a corporate legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, regulatory compliance, and other relevant legal areas.
- Experience with life sciences, logistics or other related businesses preferred.
- Excellent business acumen and ability to provide practical, strategic legal advice aligned with the company's objectives.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a track record of successfully managing legal risks.
- Experience in managing external legal counsel related to legal operations.
- High ethical standards and integrity.

- Knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain and track documents and corporate records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
