Edelman is seeking a Contracts Analyst to join the Contracts team as part of Edelman’s Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career contracts professional who has experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and is looking to continue developing their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The Contracts Analyst will be part of a small team responsible for reviewing and supporting a variety of agreements across the business for multiple clients in the United States and Canada. The team reviews the financial and commercial terms of agreements, as well as all terms of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant contracts experience reviewing NDAs, SOWs, and vendor agreements, strong attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn. Experience with Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and other commercial contract types is a plus but is not required. Prior experience within the public relations, marketing, advertising, or related professional services industries is also a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, revise, and support the negotiation of NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, and other commercial contracts.
  • Review financial and commercial terms in client and vendor agreements, identifying potential issues and working with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Review all terms and conditions of NDAs and SOWs in accordance with company standards and established guidelines.
  • Identify contractual terms that require additional review or escalation and coordinate with Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Support the review of Master Services Agreements and other contract types based on experience and business needs.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand business objectives and help facilitate the contracting process in a timely and practical manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and help ensure contracts move efficiently through the review and approval process.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Edelman’s contracting standards, policies, and risk considerations.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience drafting, reviewing, or administering commercial contracts including NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, and/or similar business agreements.
  • Experience with Master Services Agreements and additional commercial contract types is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the public relations, marketing, advertising, or related professional services industries is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. J.D. is a plus but is not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple agreements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and service-oriented approach to working with internal stakeholders.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in continuing to learn and develop contract-review and negotiation skills.

Working Model

This is a hybrid position and must be based in any Edelman office. Because the role supports teams and workflows aligned with the Pacific Time zone, the successful candidate must be available to work Pacific Time business hours, regardless of office location.

What We’re Looking For

Our contracts function is a small, collaborative team, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being an active contributor and working closely with colleagues across the organization. The successful candidate will bring energy, curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

This role is particularly well suited for someone who has built a solid foundation in contract review and wants an opportunity to broaden their experience, take on increasingly complex work, and continue developing their commercial contracting skills within a global organization.

Edelman Compensation & Benefits Highlights

The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Edelman and has not been reviewed or approved by Edelman.

  • Healthcare Strength — Benefits are described as comprehensive, with health plans commonly framed as a strong part of the overall package. Mental and physical well-being programs are also emphasized as meaningful support.
  • Flexible Benefits — Work flexibility is positioned as a standout, including hybrid routines and a “Work From Anywhere” option for part of the year. Flexible public holidays are also highlighted as adding practical choice to how time is used.
  • Retirement Support — Retirement offerings such as a 401(k) match (and pension-style contributions in some markets) are consistently presented as a solid component of total rewards. This tends to improve overall package value even when base pay feels less competitive.
