This Contracts Administrator l will support our Supply Chain department and communicate on a regular basis with the Contracts Manager and Director of Supply Chain.  The Contracts Administrator l has a strategic role with the primary responsibility of reviewing, analyzing, and responding to business and legal requests with critical thought and eloquence, while maintaining continuity with the objectives of the Contracts department. This includes responding to RFP and other solicitations, analyzing NDAs, and performing external engagements with clients as directed.


This role requires strong communication in both written and verbal skills to coordinate and collaborate with external clients and internal stakeholders. The Contracts Administrator l will work closely with Supply Chain Management to establish master agreements, provide FAR/DFAR flow downs to vendors, executing NDAs, and establishing Terms and Conditions. This includes legal objectives, creating, and executing contract development objectives. Additionally, the Contracts Administrator l will assist in managing business development objectives with respect to contract language and written products.

Essential Functions / Responsibility:

  • Provide business and technical leadership necessary to ensure both contract and legal products meet/exceed goals in delivering quality responses to Supply Chain Management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers, in coordination with Supply Chain Management.
  • Ensure that required flow downs are incorporated by Supply Chain Management into vendor purchase orders.
  • Maintain a vendor contract repository, including renewals and amendments.
  • Monitor and enforce contract compliance, including deliverables, milestones, and payment terms.
  • Work with Supply Chain Management to oversee performance accountability of supply chain, based on metrics and agreements.
  • Effectively communicate expectations to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Define success criteria and disseminate to the stakeholders throughout the product life cycle.
  • Manage the process of innovation, identifying potential crises, and devise contingency plans effectively. Develop strategies that enable nimble response to challenges.
  • Manage/update the Vendor Contracts Tracker.
  • Establish terms and conditions to be negotiated by Supply Chain Management with vendors.
  • Execute/Review NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and Subcontracts
  • Support Subcontracts Manager if time allows.
  • Periodically work off company premises for client visits and other business needs. Travel will be required (25%-30%).

Basic Knowledge Desired:

  • Understand the significance of the Nomad Core Values and display a demonstrated willingness to apply them.
  • Be knowledgeable of and understand contract management activities, such as FAR flow downs.
  • Understand different contract mechanisms/types
  •  Understand business law with respect to NDA, teaming agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Be agile, cheerful, and clear headed while managing multiple challenging tasks.
  • Prior experience articulating complex concepts and presenting clear guidance to leadership.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Anything heavier than 50 pounds will require two people to lift / carry.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish individual colors.

Working Environment:

  • The work environment is a partially environmentally controlled indoor environment. Depending upon the time of year, temperatures can fluctuate between 60F and 100F but is typically around 70F.
  • The employee may be subjected to noise levels, ranging from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time, which will be provided.
  • The employee will be exposed to a variety of household/commercial chemicals that will require the employee to follow company rules/regulations outlined by that SDS.
  • All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times in manufacturing areas. The employee will be required to wear provided safety eyewear throughout the performance of their duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BA / BS degree required in Business, Industrial Technology / Engineering, Management, Supply Chain, or Contracts Management.
  • 1-3 years of direct work in a Buyer/Supply Chain capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have a client centric perspective.
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
