A Day in the Life:
Salesforce Business Analysis Leadership
- Lead business analysis activities across multiple Salesforce programs and projects simultaneously.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder alignment meetings.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes.
- Develop detailed user stories, business requirements, acceptance criteria, and traceability documentation.
Solution Design & Process Improvement
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate.
- Partner with architects and delivery teams to evaluate solution options, balancing business value, technical complexity, scalability, and supportability.
- Promote a configuration-first approach, leveraging standard Salesforce capabilities before recommending custom development.
- Assess the business impact, operational benefits, and total cost of ownership of proposed solutions.
Salesforce Platform Delivery
- Support Salesforce implementations through discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Validate solution designs and prototypes using declarative Salesforce capabilities, including Flows, reports, dashboards, page layouts, and security controls.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and deployment readiness activities.
- Ensure documentation, process artifacts, and knowledge transfer materials are maintained for long-term support.
Data, Integration & AI Strategy
- Partner with integration and data teams on system interfaces, data migrations, data quality initiatives, and field mapping activities.
- Support Salesforce Data Cloud (Data360) initiatives, including customer data unification, segmentation, activation, and data governance considerations.
- Evaluate Salesforce AI capabilities, including Einstein, Agentforce, and other AI-driven features, developing business cases and recommendations based on value realization, operational efficiency, licensing costs, and ROI.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify practical AI use cases and prioritize investments aligned to business objectives.
- Actively use AI tools, including Claude through our Anthropic partnership, to streamline tasks, improve the quality of your work, and share best practices with teammates while continuously seeking new ways to integrate AI into your everyday workflows
What it takes:
Required Experience
- 8+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience, including 5+ years working directly with Salesforce.
- Proven experience leading analysis across multiple concurrent Salesforce projects.
- Experience partnering with external systems integrators through discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization phases.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative configuration including Flow, permission sets, reports, dashboards, and page layouts.
- Experience with integrations, data migration, data mapping, data governance, and enterprise application ecosystems.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and requirements leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
- Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud implementation or support experience.
- Salesforce Data Cloud (Data360) experience, including customer data management and activation strategies.
- Salesforce Field Service experience.
- Experience supporting licensing, contract management, retail operations, or CRM transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or related quote-to-cash processes.
- Ability to assess Salesforce AI investments from both a business and financial perspective, including licensing models, consumption costs, ROI, and organizational readiness.
- Experience working both within a consulting/system integrator environment and an internal business applications organization.
