Are you ready to help us design and build our LaserWeeder that solve real problems in our food supply?
As a Contract , Tractor Operator at Carbon Robotics, you will be operating our Laserweeder from a tractor cab in the field on a daily basis. Your role will be to operate Slayer, execute tests and provide feedback to multiple stakeholders.
We are looking for motivated and detailed oriented individuals with excellent communication skills.
What you’ll do:
- Drive a truck and trailer, maintain a valid commercial drivers license.
- Be responsible for transporting and operating equipment.
- Report issues and help improve processes
* This job requires working outside for 8 hours or more, dealing with unexpected situations and issues and being thoughtful and detail oriented.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:
- 1-3 years of mechanical/technical experience
- Tractor Driving experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required with experience or vocational/technical certification
- Must be willing to travel more than 25% of the time
- Proficient English speaker. Be able to communicate with fellow employees effectively
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to work
- Persist at difficult tasks despite unexpected obstacles
- Desired: Valid CA Class A commercial license
- Desired: Availability to travel to the Yuma region in the winter months.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required with experience or vocational/technical certification

The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.
Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:
$25—$35 USD
