Focus of the Role
As a Contract Specialist in Telstra’s Wireless Program Office, you will manage Suppliers to enable the delivery of mobiles infrastructure, achieving organisational and business objectives.
Telstra’s Wireless Program Office are seeking a self motivated, skilled and experienced Contract Specialist to manage the Design and Construction of Mobiles infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract management, including negotiation, execution, engagement, and contract compliance. This role requires an understanding of Mobiles infrastructure, working experience as a Contract Specialist (or similar), and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete contract lifecycle for a portfolio of Mobile Infrastructure Design and Construction contracts, ensuring Supplier compliance with contractual obligations and the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of services.

  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with Suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements

  • Review Project Quotes and Variations to ensure they align with Contract Terms and Conditions.

  • Review Supplier physical and virtual access requests to ensure security requiements are met.

  • Manage purchase orders end-to-end in Telstra's Online Ordering System. 

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Suppliers, monitor performance, and manage issues relating to Contract Deliverables, ensuring the effectiveness of Suppliers and achievement of contract KPIs 

  • Complete Supplier agreements, including Statements of Work, extensions, variations, terminations and any other relevant mechanisms, accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance and negotiate contract variations through effective Supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes. 

  • Provide advice, information, and guidance on procurement related matters to stakeholders across the business.

  • Apply established problem-solving methodologies to identify, mitigate and escalate contract/procurement risks to enable the organisation to meet its obligations and maximise business opportunities..

  • Using your domain knowledge to actively contribute to the delivery of short-term priorities and work with the team to embrace a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to establishing a sustainable framework of continuous integration, quality assurance monitoring, and governance.

  • HSEQ Management and Compliance

Qualifications/Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Law or equivalent .

  • Proven experience in Project/Contract Management, preferably in the telecommunications or construction industry.

  • Understanding of Mobile infrastructure design and construction processes.

  • Contract Law experience (highly desirable)
