Your Impact
The Contract Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and compliance monitoring. They are detail-oriented with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, capable of collaborating with various departments to ensure contracts meet both legal standards and organizational objectives.
What You'll Do
- Contract Development and Negotiation: Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners. Ensures contracts are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Monitors compliance with contract terms and applicable laws and regulations. Identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support: Works closely with legal, finance, procurement, and operations teams to facilitate contract execution and compliance. Provides expert guidance on contract-related inquiries and issues.
- Database Management: Maintains an organized and accurate contract management database. Ensures timely renewals, amendments, and terminations of contracts.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracks contract performance metrics and reports on compliance and effectiveness. Addresses and resolves any disputes or performance issues that arise.
Who You Are
- With 3-5+ years of experience in contract management or a similar role.
- Have a law degree from a recognized Indian university or equivalent.
- Possess a strong understanding of software and technology contracting and negotiating customer contracts.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of contract law and regulations.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in contract management software (e.g., IronClad, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Even Better If You Have...
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- 3+ years of commercial and privacy contracting experience under United Kingdom, European, United States, and APAC laws at a recognized law firm or technology company.
