The Importance of the Role
Sarepta Therapeutics is seeking a motivated clinical laboratory associate with training in protein and gene expression analysis. The qualified candidate will provide laboratory support, perform experiments to develop and validate bioanalytical assays and perform analysis of tissue in support of Sarepta’s clinical trials. This person will be expected to work within the framework of a GCLP-compliant laboratory, maintain good documentation practices, and adhere to standard chemical and biohazard safety guidelines while working in the laboratory
The Opportunity to Make a Difference

Perform nucleic acid and protein purification procedures.

Perform nucleic acid and protein-based analytical methods such as Western blot and PCR.

Prepare reagents and assist in maintaining reagent inventory.

General laboratory maintenance and cleaning.

Document work in accordance with good documentation practices.

Work in a GCLP-compliant manner and adhere to all laboratory SOPs.

Contribute to authoring documents.

Lead projects with some independence.

Support laboratory relocation activities.
More about You
-
B.S./M.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field.

1-3 years of demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience preferably in an industry setting.

Knowledge/experience of protein quantitation, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, gene expression analysis and PCR.

Ability to execute sample handling and analysis with strict adherence to laboratory methods and SOPs.

Experience with basic laboratory methods (e.g., operation of micropipettes, centrifuges, analytical balances, sterile technique).

Experience with computer productivity software (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).

Strong math-based reasoning, problem solving and data analysis skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
