This is a performance-driven, execution-focused role requiring disciplined daily activity, consistent follow-up, and strong pipeline management.

In addition to protecting renewal revenue, this role supports growth by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities and partnering closely with Sales to ensure qualified opportunities are handed off and successfully closed.

Success in this role requires urgency, accountability, revenue ownership, and a willingness to grind daily to meet targets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own a portfolio of accounts with defined ARR renewal goals and monthly, quarterly, and annual performance targets.
  • Drive contract renewals to protect recurring revenue and minimize churn.
  • Proactively manage renewal timelines and initiate outreach well in advance of expiration.
  • Execute daily renewal activities including outbound calls, emails, follow-ups, and CRM task management.
  • Maintain consistent, persistent communication to move renewals forward and overcome delays or objections.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Operations to finalize accurate renewal terms.
  • Process contract amendments, extensions, pricing updates, and term changes related to renewals.
  • Identify churn risks early and escalate at-risk accounts as appropriate.
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities during the renewal cycle and formally qualify and hand off those opportunities to Sales for pursuit and close.
  • Partner closely with Sales to ensure seamless transition of expansion opportunities and alignment on account strategy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records in CRM and contract management systems.
  • Monitor renewal pipeline, forecast renewal ARR, and report progress toward revenue targets.
Day-to-Day Expectations
  • High-volume daily outreach to renewal accounts via phone, email, and CRM workflows.
  • Consistent follow-up and task execution to ensure on-time renewal closure.
  • Daily pipeline review and prioritization based on ARR impact and urgency.
  • Accurate CRM updates, documentation, pricing coordination, and internal approvals.
  • Structured opportunity qualification and handoff to Sales.
  • Strong activity discipline and measurable execution consistency.
This role requires a proactive, execution-heavy mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Performance Metrics
  • ARR retained and renewed versus target.
  • Renewal rate and churn reduction.
  • On-time renewal completion.
  • Qualified expansion opportunities sourced and successfully handed off to Sales.
  • Forecast accuracy and pipeline management discipline.
  • Daily activity levels and execution consistency.
Qualifications
  • Experience in contract renewals, account management, customer success, revenue operations, or related field.
  • Comfortable owning revenue targets and performance accountability metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Experience using CRM and contract management systems.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior sales or revenue-generating experience in a quota-driven environment.
  • Experience supporting STR (Strategic/Segmented/Small-to-Mid Revenue) account segments.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with clients in renewal, negotiation, or account discussions.
  • Familiarity with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tools and pricing workflows.
  • Experience partnering with Sales on opportunity qualification and structured handoffs.
  • Strong understanding of renewal-to-expansion revenue motion.
  • Ability to identify buying signals and position opportunities for Sales close.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and pipeline discipline.
