The Pricing Analyst is responsible for setting and measuring optimal price levels by continuously monitoring, auditing, analyzing, and communicating price drivers and pricing points. The analyst will be responsible for understanding DNOW’s pricing software and effectively implementing the Company’s price strategies. The analyst will work with internal customers at all levels within Leadership, Sales, and Operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help develop strategies to move from margin culture to resale price competitiveness per region, industry type, product type, and customer type.
  • Complete understanding of DNOW’s pricing capabilities.
  • Develop new and enhance existing pricing strategies.
  • Train new and current users.
  •  Monitor of pricing recommendations to validate integrity.
  • Track and present KPIs.
  •  Build ad hoc reports and dashboards for internal customers.
  • Maintain list prices and price commodities as required.
  • Handle internal requests/concerns as a priority.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
  • Assess data from a variety of sources to recommend pricing strategies that align closely with market trends and segments.
  • Read and understand contract agreements to implement and maintain pricing in SAP for contract compliance.
  • Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations on developing and implementing competitive pricing strategies while maintaining contract compliance.
  • Track customer engagement to develop effective pricing strategies for products and offerings.
  • Prepare and present pricing analysis findings to sales and operations.
  • Forecast revenue and market share based on market trends, costs, and sales volumes.
  • Help enforce strategies to move from margin culture to resale price competitiveness per region, industry type, product type, and customer type.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or economics, is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a pricing analyst in a similar industry.
  • Accomplished analytical skills along with advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required. SAP and Power BI skills is preferred.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence (BI) software.
  • Effectively and efficiently organize time and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be meticulous/detail oriented in various aspects of the role.
  • Experience in collaborating on pricing strategies with Sales and Operations.
  • Advanced ability to present pricing analysis reports and lead discussions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Great attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, and eager desire to learn.
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Extensive experience in analyzing pricing strategies and forecasting revenue and market share.
  • Understanding of various customer markets and/or product knowledge.
