We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Specialist (or Contract Paralegal) to support the Legal team with routine contract matters, including NDAs and procurement-related agreements. This role will manage standardized contracting workflows, serve as a key liaison to internal stakeholders, and help drive efficiency across the contract lifecycle, enabling attorneys to focus on complex and strategic legal work.
This role will be onsite in our Arlington, Texas Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the contract intake system, independently handling standard NDAs end-to-end, routing non-standard NDAs to Corporate Counsel, and escalating all other contract types to the appropriate legal counsel.
- Conduct first-level review of vendor and procurement terms and conditions, resolving routine matters independently and escalating non-standard or higher-risk provisions as needed.
- Identify and escalate agreements involving intellectual property, licensing, or other specialized legal issues to the appropriate counsel.
- Track contract lifecycle milestones, including key dates, renewal deadlines, expirations, and obligations; proactively flag upcoming action items to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain and organize the contract repository, ensuring executed agreements are properly stored, categorized, and accessible.
- Prepare contract summaries and abstracts for business stakeholders.
- Partner with Procurement and Finance to support purchase order and vendor onboarding workflows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal contract requests, managing intake, resolving standard matters, and triaging or routing more complex inquiries to the appropriate Legal team member.
- Flag new counterparties to the export control team for denied party screening as part of the contract intake process.
- Track and report on contract volume, turnaround times, and pipeline status, and identify opportunities to improve contracting efficiency.
- Assist with special projects and legal research as directed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a contracts, legal, or procurement support role.
- Experience working with routine commercial agreements, including NDAs and vendor/procurement contracts.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) concepts, including deadline tracking, expirations, renewals, and obligation monitoring. Experience with a CMS or CLM platform is a plus.
- Familiarity with contract intake, triage, or workflow management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of work and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract/document management systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
