Job Summary: 

We are seeking a Contract & Operations Administrator to join our team in Basra. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills to support both operational and administrative activities. The Administrator will be responsible for ensuring smooth service execution, managing purchase orders and contracts, and maintaining compliance with company policies. The position acts as a key interface between customers, the service team, and internal departments to ensure high-quality support and service delivery.

Success in this role requires the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, while maintaining strong attention to detail and ensuring full compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.

For this role, your responsibilities will be: 

  • Process purchase orders and book them into the system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow company procedures and policies regarding the contract process and ensure compliance at all stages.
  • Adhere to the company’s administrative procedures and guidelines for mobilization, site work, and demobilization.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Service Manager and Team Leaders to improve on-time delivery of services.
  • Organize customer requests and team assignments in collaboration with team leaders and customer project managers.
  • Responsible for the availability and compliance of PPEs for all the service engineers, this includes initiating request to procurement, collecting demand, allocate PPEs and keep records 
  • Implement and optimize the process required by customer for invoices submission, including the delivery of hardcopies, soft copies, getting customer acknowledgement and approval and follow up for payment.
  • Provide support to employees on customer service assignments to ensure consistency in standard processes.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the products and services being delivered.
  • Provide day-to-day support by answering questions, resolving issues, and removing obstacles that impact team productivity and quality.
  • Proactively follow up with customers regarding service opportunities, completed services, and inquiries made to the Global Support Center.
  • Assist in preparing customer site visits for service engineers.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives through performance dashboards and reporting.
  • Review input data and seek clarifications from customers when necessary.
  • Align with all Emerson business process requirements, including timesheets, site visit reports, and other documentation.
  • Provide responsive and reliable customer support, including:
  • Delivering clear and timely communication.
  • Advising customers on the product range.
  • Handling complaints in a professional manner.
  • Support organization and execution of local fairs and events as required.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

Who you are?

  • Experience in engineering/industrial-computing environments, testing, and commissioning.
  • Background in Oil & Gas processes, process instrumentation, and process automation.
  • Communicate effectively - You are continuously looking forward to developing and improving your professional skills.
  • Action oriented

For this role, you will need.

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and networking, Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Familiarity with control system optimization, SCADA, relational databases, Visual Basic, programmable control devices and languages, process control instrumentation, and telemetry communications.
