Your Tasks
- Manage the tendering process for works and services needed by the EU Hub Offshore O&M Projects, Sites, and Technical Teams. Lead tender negotiations to ensure alignment with project goals and compliance with internal standards.
- Support Site and Technical Teams in executing various contracts effectively. Conduct thorough contract reviews and provide guidance on the interpretation and application of key operational (sub-)clauses.
- Manage the commercial execution of contracts and ensure that all parties comply with the contract requirements and obligations. Report on contract status, execution, and deliverables.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies in accordance with contract terms. Offer proactive advice to avoid or minimise risks that could impact cost or time.
- Lead negotiations on claims and contract variations with contractors. Develop strategies to mitigate claims and minimise potential costs. Prepare commercial communications and variation agreements.
- Provide insights on key commercial risks from an O&M perspective for contracts related to new and emerging projects. Ensure the collection of lessons learned regarding contracts and commercial practices, along with proposed actions and mitigations.
- Ensure adherence to Iberdrola’s best practices and processes in contract management. Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders, including Purchasing, Insurance, Finance, Legal, and Project Delivery teams, to protect project interests during contract negotiations and execution.
What we are looking for
- Experience in contract administration or management within the energy, infrastructure, engineering, or offshore sectors.
- A solid understanding of the commercial and legal aspects of contract negotiation and administration.
- The ability to manage the negotiation of multiple contracts under competing timelines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Postgraduate experience in the industry, with significant expertise in Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind, or a similar field.
- A strong capacity to manage your own performance, with a significant focus on delivering results and the ability to balance a varied and challenging workload while producing high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at various project sites in several countries throughout northern Europe, particularly in Germany, France, Spain, and England.
